I tried Japanese food (Japanese Gyozas) for the first time. I searched in many books and websites for the recipe with which to implement this dish. I gave with the ideal and, changing some small things, I came out for the first time some exquisite Japanese Gyozas.
I encourage you to prepare them at home, at first sight, they stop something difficult, but once you get to work you will see that it is a simpler dish than it seems.
For the filling
- 24 wafers for gyozas
- 180 grs minced pork
- 1/4 cabbage
- 1/4 chives
- 1 garlic
- A little ginger
- 1/2 tablespoon of sake
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 pinch of salt
- Ground black pepper
For the sauce
- 3/4 parts of soy sauce
- 1/4 part rice vinegar
How to make Japanese Gyozas:
Chop the garlic together with the ginger.
We will warm the cabbage and drain it until it contains no water.
Later we will chop the cabbage with the chives and, finally, we will mix all these ingredients with the sake, the soy sauce, a little salt and a pinch of pepper.
To fill the gyoza, we will place a little bit of this dough right in the center of each wafer, wet one of the ends with a little water and fold in order to be well sealed.
Finally, we cook them steamed with the help of a steamer. Once ready, we remove them very carefully, and fry them in a pan with a little oil so that the bottom of them is a little crispy.
Mix the soy sauce with the rice vinegar to dip the gyozas in them.
