Ingredients of Vegetable Pickle
4 pickled cucumbers,
4 tablespoons of buckwheat or rice cereal,
1 parsnip (root and greens),
1 celery (root and greens) and parsley,
8 black peppercorns,
4 bay leaves,
1 tablespoon of dill,
0.3 tablespoons of tarragon,
25 g of butter,
100 g of sour cream.
How to make Vegetable Pickle
Rinse the cereal with cold water, pour boiling water in a cauldron and put on steam for 30 – 45 minutes, then change the water.
Cut the peel off the cucumbers, pour 1 – 1.5 cups of boiling water over it and boil on low heat for 10 – 15 minutes. Throw away the boiled skin, and in the brine, lower the pulp of cucumbers, cut lengthwise into 4 parts, and then across into small slices, pripatit for another 10 minutes.
Boil 1.5 l of water, put into boiling water chopped roots (carrots, celery), prepared cereal, after 10 – 15 minutes potatoes, finely chopped onions and cook until potatoes are ready over moderate heat. Then add boiled cucumbers, try whether the salted broth is enough, add brine or salt, if necessary, add spices and continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes, then season with greens and cook for another 3 minutes. When serving, serve with sour cream.
Serve with a glass of vodka or pepper vodka.
