Homemade Rava Dosa | How to make Rava Dosa

Rava Dosa is my favorite South Indian Breakfast. It cooked with sooji/rava/semolina with maida, onion, green chili and rice flour.

Rava Dosa

Ingredients of Rava Dosa:

  • Chopped Ginger – 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Green Chillies – 3-4 number (chopped)
  • Onion – 1 number (chopped)
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Ghee, Butter or Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Maida – 1/4 cup
  • Rice Flour – 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sooji, Rava or Semolina – 1 cup
  • Buttermilk – 2 cup

Preparation Method:

  • Mix in the above ingredients add buttermilk and make a thin batter.
  • Ferment for 1 hour.
  • Pour batter on tawa rubbed with oil.
  • Fry, pouring ghee or oil around dosa, till it turns a brown color.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
