Vath Shavige | Karnataka Recipe

Vath Shavige is a traditional recipe of Karnataka made with rice flour dough, pour into the mold and make long vermicelli (Shavige).

Ingredients of  Vath Shavige

  • Rice flour – 2 cup

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp

  • Water – 3 cup

  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method:

  • Heat deep pan adds water, salt, ghee, and 2 tbsp rice flour allow boiling.

  • Now add rice flour without stirring cook for 20 mins and mix well without lumps.

  • Make a medium size ball and pour into the vermicelli mold and press the mold.

  • Now, Rice flour vermicelli is ready to serve. 

This you can serve with chutney, coconut milk or any non-vegetarian sambar.
