Carrot Paratha Recipe | How to make Carrot Paratha

Stuffed parathas fried on the griddle. Main ingredients wheat flour, carrot. Today I would like to share with you the Carrot Paratha recipe which I prepared. Its a typical dish prepared in South Indian Kitchen.
Carrot Paratha

Ingredients of Carrot Paratha

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup

  • Ajwain - 1/2 tbsp

  • Ghee - 2 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

For Filling

  • Carrot - 2 cup (grated)

  • Pepper powder to taste

  • Ajwain - 1/2 tbsp

  • Oil - 1 tbsp

  • Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method:

  • For the parathas, knead the dough with spice and mix the oil/ghee.

  • Add little water to knead into dough. Divide the dough into six portions. Roll out each portion into a Paratha.

  • For the filling, heat the oil and add the carrots. Mix in the spices and stir fry 2-3mins. Remove from fire and keep aside.

  • Place a portion of the filling on one Paratha and cover with another Paratha. Prepare the parathas in this way.

  • Fry parathas on a tawa on low heat adding ghee around parathas from time to time. Serve hot with curry which you like.
