At last, I have a moment to sit down in front of the computer and explain that rich Lamb Leg recipe that I prepared and it was a success.

The most important thing is to buy a leg of lamb in a trusted butcher shop, about 1.2-1.5 kgs in weight, that you see the tender and with healthy color.

Lamb Leg Recipe

Ingredients of Lamb Leg recipe:



  • 1 leg of lamb of 1.2kg - 1.5 kg (for 4 people)

  • Lard

  • 2 rosemary sprigs

  • Lemon

  • Salt

  • Oil

  • Carrot

  • Onion

  • Ground black pepper






Instruction Steps:



  • We ask in the butcher shop to make us 4 cuts to the leg of lamb.

  • When we get home we adore it in the following way. Peel and slice the carrot and onion in julienne slices.

  • We have them in the base of a baking dish. We season them with a good jet of olive oil and salt.

  • Later, we season the leg of lamb and anoint it with a bit of lard.

  • Finally, cut the lemon and squeeze one of the halves on top of the meat.

  • Cover the source with aluminum foil and let it sit overnight in the refrigerator.

  • The next morning, we bake for two hours at 180º with the heat on both plates (the oven will be previously heated at maximum power).

  • We remove and serve freshly made.
